Linn County Underage Drinking Coalition - Works to promote healthy lifestyle choices for young people by addressing the issue of underage drinking in Linn County. Goals are education, development and support of consistent consequences for underage drinking, and motivation for youth to remain alcohol free by providing alternative activities.

Healthy Youth Promotion Effort (HYPE) - Addresses the role of mentoring and other protective factors in preventing youth from engaging in high-risk behaviors. Goals are to create a community in which youth and parent figures feel competent and confident seeking services and programs that can meet their needs and which consistently promote youth development through prevention activities that reduce substance abuse and other risky behaviours by planning, implementing and promotion.

COMMIT Tobacco Free Coalition - Diverse group that is dedicated to prevention, cessation, and education of tobacco use and related issues in the Linn County community. Goals include supporting local and statewide tobacco-related events and issues, increasing awareness of issues related to tobacco use, increasing youth involvement in State-level advocacy efforts, and promoting cessation and education.

LCPSA is funded by a grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy called the Drug-Free Communities Grant. To learn more, click HERE.
