Community Indigent/Low Income Services Committee (LISC)
Mission: To assess the service needs of low-income/indigent residents and
to develop a "community response" to address those needs.
Activities of the LISC have included: reviewing data and analyzing information relative
to the needs of the population and identifying resources available to address these
needs. In response to the increasing demand for health care by the uninsured and
underinsured, the committee also endorsed the concept of a community health center
to provide a medical home for this population.
